Cycling UK Oxfordshire organises its own rides and we also highlight some rides run by other local groups.

Even if you are not a Cycling UK member, you will be welcome on any ride that is within your capabilities and we will be happy to match you up with suitable rides. In general, you can ride for free on three rides before deciding whether to join Cycling UK.

Offroad Saturday afternoon ride July 2016

Sat 9 July 2016 - 1:00pm

Start point Greenham Common car park near old control tower. Check CTC Wantage for details.

This ride will start in Newbury, on Greenham Common, near the old control tower. Only a short one of about 2 hours, but plenty of opportunity to play on the Greenham single track on completion if you want.
Twice monthly off-road ride for those who like their rides bumpy and (sometimes) muddy. These will be on the second Saturday afternoons and 4th Sunday mornings.
The rides will normally be about 20 miles, mostly off-road, and aim to finish in time for a late lunch (whether together or heading for home). We adjust the ride to suit the riders and the weather, but in general the terrain will be rough, so a mountain-bike in good condition and with knobbly tyres is recommended.
