Cycling UK Oxfordshire Midweek

white horseCycling UK Oxfordshire Midweek is a hub for cycling activities across the county and slightly beyond.

Our main cycling event is annual ‘Century’ ride, 100 miles on a carefully chosen route around the county.  Every three years we combine this with the Triennial Veterans’ Century ride, a national Cycling UK event for riders over 50 riding 100 miles.

We have run other events such as a 200-mile county boundary ride, a weekend away in Somerset, and pot-luck suppers. In 2014, we celebrated the 90th Anniversary of CTC / Cycling UK in the county with a series of ‘Explorer rides’ rides starting at different places in the area, off-road rides and a big meet-up of groups from across the county.

Any Cycling UK Member is welcome at our events, and we are happy to signpost members and non-members to appropriate rides, groups and routes.
Please contact us if you are not sure about speed, distance or anything else.

Cycling UK Oxfordshire also works to develop and promote cycling across the county. In 2013 we set up a new group in Wallingford. We work with the local Cycling UK groups and other groups like Abingdon Freewheeling, Cyclox and HarBUG to support their events and we campaign for cycling issues as the Oxfordshire Cycling Network.
