Riding to Bielsko-Biała for Olivia

Sun, 12 March, 2017

Hi there,

My name is Nick and on Sunday 19th March I will be part of a team setting off from Oxford on a 1000 mile charity cycle tour to the city of Bielsko-Bia?a in Poland.

I am writing as we would love to involve as many cyclists in the first leg of our ‘OX2BB’ journey as possible. We are raising money for a little girl called Olivia who was born with spina bifida and requires extensive, costly treatment. I should point out here that we’re not asking for money or resources from you, simply reaching out to the local cycling community as we’d love to share our journey with as many people as possible.

To save me rambling on too much, here’s a video explaining more about the project.

The route we’ll be taking on the first day will be from Oxford (Carfax tower), through the Chilterns  (Marlow) and finally to Marylebone for easy access back to Buckinghamshire/Bicester/Oxford. While the entire ride would be around 75m/100k there would certainly we options to ride part of the way or to peel off at various rest stops along the route.

Please see this strava link for the route: https://www.strava.com/activities/833748509

Joining our ride is a great opportunity  to meet other local cyclists who are also interested in social cycling. It also helps us to publicise the ride and Olivia’s plight to more people and local media.  We’d love to get along as many local riders as possible, and will be grateful for any support.

All the best,

Nick Myles
