Cycling UK Oxfordshire organises its own rides and we also highlight some rides run by other local groups.

Even if you are not a Cycling UK member, you will be welcome on any ride that is within your capabilities and we will be happy to match you up with suitable rides. In general, you can ride for free on three rides before deciding whether to join Cycling UK.

Witney Nifty Fifty 2018

Sun 25 March 2018 - 9:30am to 4:00pm

Fifty miles from Witney – our first Oxfordshire ride of the year, and the first in our ‘Couch to 200’ series if you want to work your way up from typical touring distances to a massive 200 mile ride.

But, you don’t have to commit to that – this ride will be a joy in its own right.  It will head into the Oxfordshire Cotswolds just as spring begins to take hold, so we should get some great scenery. see link to route below.

Don’t get your start time wrong – this is at 9:30am on the first day of BST, British Sycling Time (sic)!  Meet by the Buttercross.

One main refreshment stop with lunch in Hook Norton, and should be home in time for tea.

If you are driving, a convenient car park is Woodford Way, Witney OX28 6PT which is almost opposite the multi-storey.  It is open air and free for long stays. Or alternatively, there is free parking in the Leys – see map here.
