Cycling UK Oxfordshire organises its own rides and we also highlight some rides run by other local groups.

Even if you are not a Cycling UK member, you will be welcome on any ride that is within your capabilities and we will be happy to match you up with suitable rides. In general, you can ride for free on three rides before deciding whether to join Cycling UK.

Offroad ride – Sept 2015 – Goblins Glen

Sat 12 September 2015 - 10:00am

Start: Goblin’s Glen layby off A4130

Our monthly off-road ride for those who like their rides bumpy and (sometimes) muddy. Held on the second Saturday of each month, we start from various locations to take in some of the best tracks in the south of the County.

This one delves into the hillier parts of the Chilterns from the ‘Goblin’s Glen’ layby just east of Wallingford (see link).

The ride will be about 20 miles, mostly off-road. The terrain will be rough, so a mountain-bike in good condition and with knobbly tyres is recommended.  We aim to finish in time for a late lunch (whether together or heading for home).
