Cycling UK Oxfordshire organises its own rides and we also highlight some rides run by other local groups.
Even if you are not a Cycling UK member, you will be welcome on any ride that is within your capabilities and we will be happy to match you up with suitable rides. In general, you can ride for free on three rides before deciding whether to join Cycling UK.

Off-Road Novices Ride May 2017 CANCELLED
Sat 13 May 2017 - 10:00am to 1:30pm
Sorry to cancel this ride at the last minute, but I have been very sick today. Please let me know if you wanted to come and I will rearrange it on another date. Robin
A return of the well-received special ride for those beginning or wanting to learn a bit more about off-roading. It starts with a ‘teach in’ and ends with a short but pleasant ride.
We’ll start at my house with a bike check, and check out tyre pressures and suspension settings. (There should be enough car parking on my drive).
Second we’ll do a 2 mile loop up Steventon Hill and back down, which provides a chance to learn the key off-road skills for climbing, descending and going down singletrack in the woods like a Jedi.
Third, for those who would like to, we’ll ride a 10-mile loop up to The Ridgeway and back to sample a bigger climb and a bigger descent and put all those skills into practice. I will adjust this to suit the group on the day.
