Cycling UK Oxfordshire organises its own rides and we also highlight some rides run by other local groups.
Even if you are not a Cycling UK member, you will be welcome on any ride that is within your capabilities and we will be happy to match you up with suitable rides. In general, you can ride for free on three rides before deciding whether to join Cycling UK.

Munsley Acre weekend
Fri 21 September 2012 - 10:30am
Meet at 10am at the pub
After last year’s successful Autumn weekend in Lymington CTC Oxfordshire will be repeating the formula by going to Munsley Acre near Ledbury, Herefordshire (see advertisement in Oxfordshire Cyclist) on the above dates. All members are, of course, invited but there are only ten beds (in 1 double, 3 twin and 2 single bedded rooms) available, so book early as they will be allocated on a first come basis.
The basic plan will be to ride to Munsley Acre on the Friday and back on the Tuesday but some people may prefer to drive or take the train all or part of the way. For those riding there we will arrange meeting place(s) to suit the different direction that people may be coming from. With a little foresight and cooperation we should be able arrange transport for luggage if there are people driving to Munsley Acre.
On Saturday, Sunday and Monday we will plan at least two rides each day at various distances to suit the participants. With the variety of excellent riding available in the area the rides can be chosen to be anything between fairly flat and quite hilly.
The normal price is £58 per person per night for dinner, bed & breakfast but Mark has offered us four nights for the price of three making the total cost £174 per person. I therefore need a 25% deposit (£43.50 per person) as soon as possible to secure your bed. Cheques payable to me please or to CTC Oxford DA. If you are unable to come for all four nights or we run out of beds in the guest house, there is a nearby pub at Ashperton.
A great success, despite some inclement weather.
[Website editor’s note: After an exhausting but exhilarating weekend, apparently no one had the energy to write a ride report, so please look at the lovely photos to give you a flavour].
