Cycling UK Oxfordshire organises its own rides and we also highlight some rides run by other local groups.

Even if you are not a Cycling UK member, you will be welcome on any ride that is within your capabilities and we will be happy to match you up with suitable rides. In general, you can ride for free on three rides before deciding whether to join Cycling UK.

Follow the Thames 125 mile ride

Sat 16 June 2018 - 8:00am to 10:00pm

Follow the Thames from its source all the way to Wallingford. At 125 miles 200km, this is a great way to stretch beyond the regular Century distance and set a new benchmark.

We will ride from Wallingford, West along the Ridgeway roughly following the spring line to the source of the Thames near Cirencester. Then we’ll follow the river downstream, passing through Lechlade, Bampton, Eynsham, Oxford and Abingdon. In theory it’s all downhill!

We’ll stop every 25 miles for refreshment and ride at a moderate pace, similar to the Century rides. So this will be a long day – we will finish in the dark so bring lights.  The late finish is also why it’s on a Saturday.

Please let me know you are coming to book the food stops.
