The Oxfordshire CTC Midweek Member Group are running the 2019 edition of the Midweek Tour of the Cotswolds Audax, a lovely ride starting from Witney Rugby Club on Wednesday 19th June.
This sociable event is 106 km in length and success on this lovely route is recorded on a Brevet card that you get stamped at two Controls (a cafe in Chipping Norton and the Cotswold Farm Park in Guiting Power) and on which you write answers to simple questions at three locations on the way, as proof of passage. You are expected to complete the route at an average speed (including stops) between 13 to 25 kph, which should be well within the capabilities of many cyclists on machines of all types, shapes and sizes. It is NOT a race, but a wonderful opportunity to follow the route sheet or GPX file and enjoy this predefined route through some glorious countryside and picturesque villages of the Cotswolds in the company of like-minded cyclists.
The start is at a leisurely 10:00 and upon your return there will be tea, sandwiches and excellent cakes all included within the tiny entry fee. (Cycling UK Members do not have to pay the membership fee, just the event fee.) In order to enter please follow the link below:

If you have any questions about the event or have any trouble with the on-line entry then contact Andy Ellis (details on the AUK Web Event page) and he will be happy to help. Andy and the Midweek Group look forward to welcoming you in June on what we expect will be another grand day out.
